Tekes Ma’avar, a Ceremony of Transition, followed by Simhat Torah Festival Services and Celebration for the entire community

This year, we will mark the yahrzeit, the Hebrew date anniversary of the October 7 attacks, on Shemini Atzeret and Simhat Torah.  On the evening of October 24 at 6:30pm, we will have a Tekes Ma’avar, a ceremony of transition from the sadness of Shemini Atzeret to the joy of Simhat Torah.   We will sing, reflect, and recite prayers in memory of those lost and then will affirm our commitment to life and joy as we celebrate Simhat TorahThis program is geared towards older teens and adults.

Families of all ages are invited to join our educators in the TBS tent for a very special Torah program and treat. Following the ceremony in the sanctuary, everyone will join together for singing, dancing, and celebrating! There will be special roles for ALL of our students in our Congregational Service. Bring your Simhat Torah flag for our parade and enjoy delicious treats after the service!
